The 90S+ fusion splicer is designed for splicing optical trunk cables and uses active core alignment. It features real-time ARC discharge power control technology (AFCT), ensuring splicing of fibers with large cleave angles without additional signal loss at the splice point.
The splicer comes with the CT50 cleaver, the first in the world to feature an electric motor and wireless control via the fusion splicer. Based on the fiber cleave angle and profile, the splicer automatically evaluates and adjusts the cleaver blade position if it's worn, eliminating the need for operator intervention.
The 90S+ is equipped with dual fiber clamps—primary and support clamps—that can be individually programmed to lift automatically, significantly speeding up splicing tasks. The electrodes have a long service life, allowing approximately 5,000 splices, and can be replaced manually without any tools.
The automatically opening wind protection cover (WP) features LED lighting technology, eliminating the need for mirrors in the optical unit, simplifying operation and avoiding mirror replacements.
It includes an ultra-fast, mechanized heat shrink oven, the fastest in its class globally. The robust battery supports approximately 300 splices, including heat-shrink operations.
With the "Splice+" app, you can easily manage the 90S+ or update its firmware.
