Fujikura 45S
The 45S fusion splicer is designed for FTTH optical networks and terminal device installations, such as ODF patch panels and fiber distribution boxes (FDBs). It uses active fiber alignment by cladding. The 45S features real-time ARC discharge power control technology (AFCT), enabling splicing of fibers with large cleave angles without additional signal loss at the splice point.
The splicer comes with the CT50 cleaver, the first in the world to feature an electric motor and wireless control via the fusion splicer. Based on the fiber cleave angle and profile, the splicer automatically evaluates the cleaver blade's wear and adjusts its position as needed. This eliminates the need for operator intervention.
The 45S's technology and design allow for simultaneous preparation, cleaving, and splicing of two fibers, facilitated by innovative dual fiber clamps.
With the "Splice+" app, users can easily manage the 45S or update its firmware.
