The latest 100S+ fusion splicer is designed for optical trunk cable splicing, featuring active core alignment technology. The 100S is equipped with real-time ARC discharge power control (AFCT technology), ensuring stable splicing of fibers with large cleave angles without additional optical loss at the splice point.
The V-groove fiber guide makes it easier to insert prepared fibers for splicing, simplifying and speeding up the process. With an expanded fiber alignment tolerance, fibers can be spliced even when slightly offset from the electrode center.
Once the cleaved fibers are inserted, the WP wind protector automatically closes before splicing and reopens afterward. The WP cover includes LED illumination technology, eliminating the need for mirrors in the optical system — simplifying maintenance and removing the need for mirror replacement.
Using the SS05 coating remover, two fibers can be stripped simultaneously, cleaved together with the CT60 cleaver, and then both inserted into the 100S at once. When both fibers are in position, the fiber clamps close automatically, allowing the operator to handle both hands freely — increasing productivity by up to 20% compared to the previous model.
The electrodes offer a long service life of about 6,000 splices and can be replaced manually without tools. The device includes an ultra-fast, motorized heat shrink oven and a high-capacity battery supporting approximately 300 splices, including sleeve heating.
The 100S supports battery charging via standard portable power banks, ensuring reliability even in the event of sudden power loss. It also features built-in GPS functionality that records and stores the work location during splicing — assisting in daily process management.
The “Splice+” mobile app provides anti-theft protection, allowing you to lock the device remotely and automatically unlock it when your smartphone is nearby. Through the app, you can also control the 100S and update its firmware easily.
The 100S fiber fusion splicer comes equipped with the CT60 fiber cleaver, an upgraded version of the CT50. The CT60 includes an electric motor and is wirelessly connected to the splicer. Based on fiber cleave angle and profile analysis, the splicer can detect blade wear and automatically rotate the blade to a new position — no manual adjustment required.
The CT60 eliminates height adjustment, resulting in more accurate and stable cleave angles. The number of blade positions has been increased to 28 to maintain long-term cutting performance. A new blade arm angle adjustment feature allows the lever opening angle to be adapted for convenient use in different situations — whether on a table or handheld.
